Special Meeting Minutes of
April 1, 2014

Opened Meeting at 7:12 PM

The following were present and participated in discussion:
- Jason Bracich, EDC Alternate pending next BOS meeting
Old Business:
The only item on the agenda was finalizing preparations for the Business Networking Meeting April 9, 2014 at Hilltop Restaurant’s function room (6:30 PM to 8:30 PM):
- RSVP Invitations mailed on Monday March 31, 2014. Event advertised on Town website Homepage and EDC webpage. Kim has received a few RSVPs and will keep us updated.
- Refreshments will include pizza, small sandwiches, cheese, crackers and fruit as well as coffee, tea, soft drinks and water. The cash bar is also available.
- Hilltop needs final count by April 7, 2014.
- Meeting Set-up – EDC members arrive at Hilltop at 5:45 PM
- Welcome Table – Ethan and Jason
- Introduction of EDC members – Tom B.
- Housekeeping – Tom T. - Location of Bathrooms, Exits, Food &Drink, Business Directories (some info changed)
- Introductions – Tom B. This involves having Town officials/representatives stand and introduce themselves and their functions, and then having business owners or their representatives stand and introduce themselves and give the name of their business.
- Ethan will introduce first speaker – Gregory Lewis of Connecticut Small Business Development Center (Ethan will contact Lewis for bio and discuss any requirements).
- Tom B. will introduce the next speaker - Diane Nadeau of the Greater Windham Chamber of Commerce (Tom has asked her for a bio and has discussed content of the presentation with her).
- Kim will thank speakers, Beni and Hilltop staff, and guests for coming and remind them that we still have an open alternate seat.
Meeting adjourned at 8:05 PM. Our next meeting will be held on Monday April 28, 2014 at 6:00 PM.
